I founded Petroyağ in 1993 with 100% domestic capital to supply industrial lubricants for our nation's industrial production. Our goal was to create a platform that would identify and develop new products needed by the industry and create new application areas for them. Setting off with a small team, Petroyağ has grown into a Turkish family company that now exports to over 50 countries, with offices in locations such as İzmit, Gebze, and Georgia, has gained international recognition, and makes a difference with social investments contributing positively to society.
In my over 45 years of business experience, I have faced achievements and challenges. Overcoming these has always been motivated by my belief in myself, my family, my colleagues, and my country.
We have grown and developed by continuously striving for improvement and innovation, without compromising the principles of reliability, honesty, and diligence that define us today.
We are a family, united in our goals, sharing our successes, and growing together. We remain steadfast in our commitment to Petroyağ's core values. We invest what we earn here back in these lands. We have established a world-class production facility in the Gebze Organized Industrial Zone by creating new employment opportunities. We have developed commercial relations in many countries and taken firm steps towards becoming a global brand by being born and producing quality products in these lands.
In the upcoming period, we will continue to produce as one of the key industrial establishments of our country and deliver our products to valuable customers in different parts of the world without compromising our principles. Ünal SOYSAL
Born in Ankara in 1957, Ünal Soysal completed his primary and high school education in Bahçelievler. He then graduated from Gazi University with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Upon successfully completing his education in 1979, he began his career in 1980 at a state institution pioneering in lubricant production.
Since 1980, Soysal has been working on lubricants as a chemical engineer. He worked for Petrol Ofisi A.Ş. for 8 years and Texaco Europe Turkey for 4 years. During this time, he participated in numerous lubrication seminars in Türkiye as both an attendee and speaker and received additional training on lubrication at various facilities abroad.
Combining his experience and foresight, Soysal founded Petroyağ in a 20-square-meter office after 12 years of work. Petroyağ, a 100% Turkish brand, became one of the first companies to receive a Lubricant License from the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) following the regulation of the petroleum market.
Petroyağ has made R&D investments a core company policy. Today, it continues to produce by world standards at its modern facility in the Gebze Organized Industrial Zone, which has a production capacity of 50,000 tons and is fully automated.
