Our PETRAL SERIES is a set of aluminium cold rolling oils, with a pure and linear paraffinic based structure. All products comply with the purity standards set by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA 178 3620 b). Thanks to a very low sulfur content, low toxicity and odor, this Series is an excellent choice for the lubrication of aluminum and aluminum alloy foil cold rolling mills.
Lubricity additives are strongly recommended in order to increase the reduction capacity and affinity to the aluminum surface, thereby minimising surface cracks and film breakages. Fatty alcohol, ester and acid based packages increase the load bearing capacity by decreasing the coefficient of friction at the roll bite. Adding antioxidant is also recommended as it helps increase the thermal stability and reduce ageing of the rolling fluid.
PROPERTIES
PETRAL SERIES products act to decrease friction by lubricating the surfaces between rolling cylinders and aluminium metals during the aluminimum rolling process, and also facilitate heat removal from the rolling system.
