ÜNAL SOYSAL
Born in the Turkish capital, Ankara, in 1957, Ünal Soysal completed his tertiary education at Gazi University, graduating from Chemical Engineering in 1979. Soysal launched into the professional world immediately by commencing work at one of Turkey’s leading lubricant producing public institutions in 1980.
Since the very beginning of his career, Soysal’s focus as a chemical engineer has been on lubricants. After working for eight years at Petrol Ofisi A.Ş., Soysal took on a role at Texaco Europe’s Turkish office, where he participated and spoke at several industry seminars and received specialized training in the field of lubricants at the Company’s international facilities.
Coupling his twelve years of professional experience with a clear vision for the lubricants industry, Soysal laid the foundations of Petroyag Lubricants in a 20 square metre office space in 1993. As the Energy Market Regulation Authority (EPDK) began to regulate the domestic petroleum market, Petroyag Lubricants become one of the first companies to receive a lube oil license.
With R&D embedded in the brand’s DNA, Petroyag Lubricants operates out of a 50 thousand tonne, state-of-the-art production facility located in Gebze’s Organised Industrial Zone. Recognised today for its expertise and leadership in the industry, Petroyag Lubricants operates in line with international standards throughout the entire production process.
